Thank you for choosing Northeast Georgia Locally Grown as a way to support your local producers. This online farmers market allows you to buy directly from multiple farms committed to chemical-free and local produce all year long! CHEMICAL-FREE means produce and pastures grown without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides. LOCAL means within 80 miles from the market pickup locations (usually much much closer). Do you know someone who grows chemical-free food in the area? Get them in touch with us. Know someone who wants fresh food? Spread the word. Put the two together, and that’s growing organically!
PICKUP TIME is Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. in Clayton, Clarkesville, or Gainesville.
If you do not get an email ORDER CONFIRMATION after you finish the checkout process, then your order is NOT complete. Head back to the market page, and your order might still be there waiting for you to check out! If you have any trouble or questions at all, we are here to help; simply reply to this email.
Once you place an order, be on the lookout for the order reminder email on Wednesday with further pickup and payment notes. Thanks for your support!

Martin's Farmstand: Farmstand Open Today
The farmstand is open today and tomorrow (Dec 1-2) from noon- 5 pm. We still have 2 tubs of spinach, this weekend is the last spinach till spring. Kale is still abundant in the field. Kale is hardy to temps down near 0-10 degrees so we are usually harvesting kale till Christmas fresh from the field. We just lop the whole plant off and bring it into the cooler to thaw slowly. This afternoon I plan to be packaging freshly dried apples and making garlic powder. I also have whole cloves of fresh peeled garlic on the stand. This is available at the same prices as unpeeled bulbs of garlic. Price for 10+ lbs of garlic is $6 lb. Now is a good time to put up pickled garlic or just freeze it whole for convenient cooking use. Dry garlic slices or powder is $25 lb. We are overstocked on garlic with over 1,000 lbs still left. I am working at peeling/dehydrating garlic as time allows so the kitchen and stand area smell like garlic. Most things that I have run through the freeze dryer yield in the 8-16% range. Garlic actually does not have much water in it and we are getting about 1 lb dried garlic from 3 lbs of fresh. Apples dry down to 1 lb from 7-10 lbs of fresh apples. From December 1-23 we will be open every Friday and Saturday afternoon. After New year till Spring we will be open Saturday afternoons weather permitting. Keep on eating local food. The seasons move on quickly so eat what is available often. By the time one is tired of this set of food the next season is coming along. Daniel
Champaign, OH: Ordering!!
So sorry about this, but it looks like the system did something a little off, last night, as it sometimes does, and after I closed out the market, from this past week, it popped back open, later, still with the new orders and old order.
I’ve had to clear it all out, and that means, the four customers who ordered after I reopened, last night, will PLEASE need to order, again!!! So sorry, and it usually does this when the system undergoes an update…
So, can the customers who already placed an order, please reorder!
Thank you!!!
XOXO,
Cosmic Pam
